Due to the problem of large-scale water outages in Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, due to the effects of Typhoon No. We announced that we will work to supply domestic water that can be used for toilets and cleaning in 1000 households.

"Even if water starts to come out of the faucet, please keep it to a minimum, and don't drink until it's safe to do an inspection," the city said.

In Shimizu Ward, Shizuoka City, due to the influence of Typhoon No. 15, the water intake of the Okitsu River, which is the main water source, was blocked by driftwood, and about 63,000 households have had water outages.

Under these circumstances, Shizuoka City has been using the prefecture's industrial water, well water, and water that has begun to flow into the water intake from the 27th to 31,000 households, which is about half of the households with water outages, for toilets and cleaning. We announced that we will work to supply usable domestic water.

Specifically, we plan to supply 27,000 households in the Tomoegawa block between the JR Tokaido Line and the Tomei Expressway and 4,000 households in the Okitsu block from the east to the Okitsugawa.

After that, 3600 households on the 28th, 21,400 households on the 29th, 3000 households on the 30th, and the supply range will be expanded to other areas.

In all areas, it is expected that drinking water will be available two days after the start of supply of domestic water. Please do not drink until it is confirmed."
