[Video] A man who lost his mother for a year from the Atami debris flow

It has been one year since July 3rd, when a large-scale debris flow occurred in the Izusan district of Atami City, Shizuoka Prefecture.

Takayuki Kusanagi (50 years old) lost his mother, Eiko (82 years old at the time), who lived with him in the debris flow.

That day, Mr. Kusanagi was at his sister's house, about 10 meters away from his house, but the rush of earth and sand crushed his house, and he couldn't rescue Ms. Eiko who was inside.

Even now, one year after the debris flow, Mr. Kusanagi continues to regret not being able to help her mother in front of her.
