According to Shimane Prefecture, due to heavy rain, the Gonokawa River, which flows through the western part of the prefecture, exceeded the "flooding danger water level" at the Kawahira Observatory in Gotsu City at 6:10 pm.
The prefecture is calling for actions to ensure safety, saying that the water level may rise in the future.
