One of the constituent assets of the world cultural heritage "Hidden Christian Sites in Nagasaki and Amakusa Region", "Hara Castle Ruins" in Minamishimabara City, Nagasaki Prefecture, was affected by heavy rain, and the ground has collapsed and cliffs in three places so far. The collapse was confirmed.
According to the city of Minamishimabara, it was confirmed that the ground was depressed in the open space at the Honmaru site over a diameter of 5 meters and a depth of 5 meters.
It also means that a part of a cliff about 30 meters high along the sea collapsed.
The city is investigating the detailed situation, such as whether there is any other damage.
