According to the Yamashiro Kita Civil Engineering Office in Kyoto Prefecture, the police reported that the sidewalk of the prefectural road passing near Kintetsu Okubo Station in Okubo-cho, Uji City had collapsed around 7 pm on the 13th.



Officials confirmed that the sidewalk had collapsed over a length of about 20 meters and a width of about 2.5 meters.



No one was injured.



According to the civil engineering office, the sidewalk is built on the revetment of a small river that runs along the road, but it seems that the sidewalk collapsed due to the collapse of the revetment due to heavy rain.



At the civil engineering office, security guards are stationed around the area to guide pedestrians from accidentally falling.
