According to Shimane Prefecture, due to heavy rain, the Gonokawa River, which flows through the western part of the prefecture, exceeded the "flooding danger water level" at 4:40 pm at the Tanizumigo Observatory in Gotsu City.
The prefecture is calling for action to ensure safety, saying that the water level may rise in the future.
