In Mutsu City, Aomori Prefecture, which suffered large-scale flood damage due to this heavy rain, the collection of disaster waste such as furniture that became unusable due to water began on the 12th.

Due to this heavy rain, at least 50 houses were inundated in Ohata Town, Mutsu City due to the flooding of the river.

Mutsu City began collecting disaster waste free of charge from the 12th, including furniture that became unusable due to water, and in Ohata Town, seven trucks from a contractor commissioned by the city are traveling around the area.

Of these, in the center of Ohata Town, residents were waiting in front of shops and houses with furniture and home appliances submerged in water, and when the truck arrived, the contractor loaded it on the loading platform.

A woman in her 70s said, "The company was flooded on the floor and it was difficult to clean the mud for two days, so I am grateful for the collection."

Mutsu City will collect disaster waste for 14 days, and plans to collect it on Wednesdays and Saturdays from next week onwards, and hopes that it will be placed in front of the premises of the house by 8:30 in the morning.
