The government has put together support measures in response to the earthquake off the coast of Fukushima Prefecture, which observed shaking with a seismic intensity of 6 or higher in Fukushima and Miyagi prefectures.

Due to the great impact of the Great East Japan Earthquake and the spread of the new coronavirus, we will subsidize the "group subsidy" for small and medium-sized enterprises up to 500 million yen under certain conditions, and plan to vaccinate. Assistance for early restoration of the venue is included.

Special measures for restoration and industrial support

This earthquake does not meet the designated conditions of "catastrophic disaster", which raises the national subsidy rate as a result of anticipating the cost of restoration.

However, the government has included special measures for early recovery and industrial support in its support measures, saying that the areas affected by the disaster have already been greatly affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the spread of the new coronavirus.

Life reconstruction

When a municipality dismantles a damaged house at public expense, the government usually subsidizes more than completely destroyed houses, but as a special case, more than half destroyed houses are also covered.

When rebuilding a house, a maximum of 3 million yen will be paid depending on the rate of damage to the house based on the Disaster Victims' Life Reconstruction Support Law.

It is currently applied in Fukushima City.

In addition, when repairing a house, a maximum of 595,000 yen will be paid as a percentage of damage based on the Disaster Relief Act.

Currently, it is applied in 17 cities and towns in Fukushima prefecture, and it is expected that acceptance will start in each local government in the future.

Group subsidy for industrial support

In terms of industrial support, the "group subsidy" that SMEs affected by the disaster receive when they form a group and restore facilities and equipment will be applied in Fukushima, Miyagi, and Iwate prefectures.

Until now, it was assumed that a catastrophic disaster would be designated, but this is a special measure.

In addition, although it is usually subsidized for three-quarters of the cost, if certain conditions are met, such as the damage caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake and the influence of the new coronavirus, the full amount will be subsidized up to 500 million yen. became.

Vaccination site restoration support

In Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures, the hospitals and gymnasiums scheduled for vaccination against the new coronavirus have also been damaged, so we will also subsidize the costs for early recovery.
