7.3 magnitude earthquake near Antarctica No tsunami impact on Japan

According to a contact from the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center in Hawaii to the Japan Meteorological Agency, there was a major earthquake of magnitude 7.3 with an epicenter near the South Pole in the southwestern Atlantic Ocean at around 8:37 am on the 24th of Japan time.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the tsunami will not affect Japan due to this earthquake.
