In Gujo City, Gifu Prefecture, snow removal on prefectural roads has not caught up, and a total of more than 500 people, including residents of mountain villages and customers staying at ski resorts, are in an isolated state where they cannot move to the foot of the mountain.


The prefecture is currently removing snow and is aiming to resume traffic within 10 days.

According to Gujo City, after 4 am on the 10th, snow removal work on Prefectural Road 314 could not keep up with Shirotoricho Itoshiro in Gujo City, and it was impossible to pass for about 7 km.



For this reason, about 500 people, including 110 households and 243 people in the mountain village and about 280 people staying at the two ski resorts, are in an isolated state where they cannot move to the foot of the mountain.



The prefecture is currently removing snow and is aiming to resume traffic within 10 days.



According to Gujo City, lifelines such as electricity and water are connected, and local people can be contacted by telephone.



A heavy snow warning was issued to Gujo City from 4 pm on the 9th to 8 am on the 10th, and the snowfall reached 1 meter and 34 cm at 10 am on the 10th.
