Late on the night of the 7th, a 66-year-old man who had been entrusted with snow removal work by the village in Higashidori Village, Aomori Prefecture, was hit by a snowplow and died.

At that time, it was a snowstorm, so the police are investigating the cause of the accident.

After 11:30 pm on the 7th, I was hit by a snowplow backed by Mr. Nobuaki Kozuka (66), an office worker living in Mutsu City, on a village-owned land where I stopped the snowplow at Shiriya, Higashidori.

Mr. Kozuka was taken to the hospital, but was confirmed dead about two and a half hours later due to a broken hip.

According to police and others, Mr. Kozuka and a 46-year-old man who was driving a snowplow were about to go to snow removal work on behalf of Higashidori Village.

There were no street lights at the scene, and the visibility was poor due to the snowstorm at that time, so the man who was driving the snowplow said, "I didn't notice that Mr. Kozuka was behind me." ..

Police are investigating the situation at the time and the cause of the accident.
