On the first day of disaster prevention, a training was held to confirm the evacuation guidance procedure for the visitors at the tradition facility of the Great East Japan Earthquake in Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture.

Approximately 40 people participated in the training, including staff and visitors from the Great East Japan Earthquake Tsunami Tradition Museum in Rikuzentakata City.

The training was conducted on the assumption that a quake with a seismic intensity of less than 5 was observed in an earthquake of magnitude 6.5 off the coast of Miyagi Prefecture that occurred at 9:30 am, and that a tsunami warning was issued on the coast of Iwate Prefecture.

When an earthquake was announced on the premises of the building, staff members guided the visitors out of the building, asking them to "protect their heads."

Then, in about 5 minutes, we gathered at the temporary waiting place in front of the entrance of the building.

A man from Ishikawa Prefecture who visited a traditional museum with a friend said, "I was thrilled to participate in the training, but I was thrilled, but it was a valuable experience."

Kazunori Kumagai, the chief instructor of the Denshokan, said, “Today's training was done smoothly, but I would like to prepare for the holidays and when many people visit.”

It was feared that evacuation to higher grounds would take some time in the traditional lodges and parks along the coast, but since last month, a new evacuation route has been used that utilizes part of National Route 45 before opening. Has begun.
