According to NHK's compilation through broadcasting stations in various regions, 77 people have been killed and 9 people have been missing, mainly in Kumamoto prefecture, due to the record heavy rain this time.

Kumamoto Prefecture

In Kumamoto Prefecture, 65 people have died and 3 are missing.

Of these, a total of 25 people died in Kuma-mura, including 14 people who died at Senjuen, a nursing home for the elderly.

In addition, 20 people died in Hitoyoshi, 11 in Ashikita, 4 in Yatsushiro, 3 in Tsunagi, and 2 in Yamaga.

The number of people who are missing is one in Yatsushiro City, one in Ashikita Town, and one in Kuma Village.

In Oita Prefecture, one person died in Oita City, one in Yufu City, three in Yufu City, and one in Hita City are missing.
