Heavy rain damage 77 deaths in Kumamoto prefecture 10 people missing 15th July 14:00
According to NHK's summary through broadcasting stations, 77 people have been killed and 10 people have been missing, mainly in Kumamoto prefecture, due to the record heavy rain.
Kumamoto Prefecture
In Kumamoto Prefecture, 65 people have died and 4 are missing.
▽In Kuma village, 24 people died, including 14 people died in the special elderly nursing home "Senjuen".
In addition, 20 people died in Hitoyoshi City, 11 people in Ashikita Town, 5 people in Yatsushiro City, 3 people in Tsunaki Town, and 2 people died in Yamaga City.
The number of people who are still missing is ▽2 in Yatsushiro-shi, 1 in ▽Kuma-mura, and 1 in ▽Ashikita-machi.
Kyushu Other than Kumamoto
▽ In Oita Prefecture, one person was found dead in Oita City, one in Yufu City, three in Yufu City, and one in Hita City is missing.
▽In Fukuoka Prefecture, two people died in Omuta City, and ▽In Nagasaki Prefecture, a man in his 50s who was believed to have been washed away in a river in Tsushima City was found dead.
▽In Kagoshima Prefecture, a man in his 60s who had delivered a newspaper in Minamisatsuma City was missing, and a body found to be this man was found in a search on the 14th.
In Kyushu, a total of 71 people have died and 9 are missing.

▽In Higashihiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture, on the 14th, the back mountain of the house collapsed and the parents and children living in this house died.
▽ In Ehime Prefecture, two elderly men and women died in Ikata Town.
▽In Shizuoka prefecture, a worker fell dead in Kawanehoncho when he fell into a tree.
▽ In Nagano prefecture, a 73-year-old man died in a landslide in Iida city.
▽In Toyama Prefecture, a man in his 70s is missing in Tateyama Town after being washed away by an irrigation canal.
