According to the Takayama police station in Gifu prefecture, at around 8:25 am, a nearby inhabitant reported at about 8:25 am in a house in Asahi-cho Nishi-dong, Takayama-shi, saying that "the earth and sand had flowed in."
This means that there are three people in their 70s and 90s left behind.
