Regarding heavy rain in Kyushu, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aso showed at a press conference after the Cabinet Meeting that he would use the reserve funds of this year's budget to support the lives of victims.

In this, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Aso said, "We are not fully aware of the situation of the disaster, and we must work closely with the relevant ministries and agencies to grasp the situation without fail."

On top of that, he said, "The biggest task is to create a situation where you can live a safe life as quickly as possible, but you must hurry to respond by making use of some contingency expenses," and stated in the initial budget for this year. He indicated that he would use the saved contingency to devote himself to expenses such as living support and recovery costs for the victims.
