Due to the influence of front lines and low pressure, heavy rain accompanied by lightning will occur in western Japan over four days, and extremely heavy rain may occur locally, resulting in heavy rain. The Japan Meteorological Agency calls for caution in sediment-related disasters, inundation of low land, and flooding of rivers.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the Baiu front extends from the Nansei Islands to the east of Kanto, and the low pressure generated on the front is expected to approach Kyushu and Shikoku after 3 days.

Warm and humid air flowed toward the front and low pressure, and the atmospheric condition became unstable in western Japan, so it was late in tomorrow in southern Kyushu, in the north of Kyushu on the 3rd afternoon, and in Shikoku and Kinki on the 3rd night. Due to the heavy rain associated therewith, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rain of 50 mm or more per hour locally.

The front is expected to stagnate on the Pacific side of western Japan and eastern Japan, and the amount of rainfall that falls in the 24 hours until the evening of the 3rd is 200 mm in southern Kyushu, 80 mm in northern Kyushu and Shikoku, and Kinki. After that, there is a possibility that heavy rains will occur in Shikoku and Kinki between 200 mm and 300 mm in the 24 hours until the evening of the 4th, and between 100 mm and 200 mm in northern and southern Kyushu.

The Japan Meteorological Agency cautions against sediment-related disasters, inundation of low-lying land and flooding of rivers, and calls for sufficient caution against heavy gusts such as lightning strikes and tornadoes.
