Due to the influence of the front line, heavy rain is intermittently occurring in the Tokai and Kanto areas. On the 19th, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rain in eastern Japan, and the Meteorological Agency has called for caution against sediment-related disasters and flooding of low-lying land.

According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, the atmospheric conditions have become unstable over a wide area due to the low pressure on the front extending south of Honshu and the warm, moist air, and the rain clouds developed mainly in the Tokai.

During the one-hour period until 4:30 am,
we observed a slightly heavy rain of 14 mm each at Mt. Takane in Fujieda City , Shizuoka Prefecture and Nanbu Town, Yamanashi Prefecture.

▽ In the next few hours in western Japan, and in
eastern Japan, it is likely to get heavy rain with thunder, and extremely heavy rain of 50 mm per hour locally in the eastern Japan before noon on the 19th.

The Meteorological Agency cautions against sediment-related disasters, inundation of low-lying land, flooding of rivers, and calls for a wide range of precautions against thunderstorms and tornadoes.
