Requiem for Reviving and Reconstruction 25th Year Luminarie begins Kobe December 6 20:43

“Kobe Luminarie”, which illuminates the night of Kobe, began on the 6th night with the hope of reviving and reviving victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake.

“Kobe Luminarie” began in 1995 when the earthquake occurred, hoping for the soul of the people who died in the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and the reconstruction of the city.

On the 6th, a lighting ceremony was held at the venue in Chuo-ku, Kobe City, and after the gathered people gave a silent silence to those who were victims of the earthquake, local elementary school students sang in hope of reconstruction. I sang the song “Happy to carry”.

Then, at 6:00 pm, when the lights of all 500,000 light bulbs were struck together with the sound of the bell, the entire venue was surrounded by soft light.

In addition to a 200-meter-long light corridor, the venue was also equipped with a huge 21-meter-high light dome. Visitors enjoyed the production of colorful light.

In the 25th time, as part of an attempt to convey the earthquake disaster to future generations, a storyteller booth has been established to convey what high school students have learned about the earthquake disaster.

A man in his 30s who was affected by the disaster in Takarazuka, Hyogo Prefecture, said, “I remember being encouraged when I first arrived.

“Kobe Luminarie” will be held for 10 days until 15th of this month.
