Flooding occurred in a total of 281 rivers, and a large area was flooded in various places, causing extensive damage.

In preparation for a situation where heavy rain falls again and the river increases, restoration work is still underway in damaged areas. Temporary embankments have already been completed for rivers managed by the country, but for rivers managed by the prefecture, 45 out of 128 places where the embankments broke down, such as the Abukuma River in Fukushima Prefecture and the Uchikawa River in Miyagi Prefecture, The temporary embankment is not completed yet.
