Haircut volunteer at a shelter Local barber Miyagi Ogocho 21 October 15:52

At the evacuation center in Ogo-cho, Miyagi Prefecture, where the river bank broke down due to the heavy rain of Typhoon No. 19, local barbers cut hair by volunteers.

Mika Hino (31), a barber from Ogo-cho, visited as a volunteer.

Mr. Hino borrowed a corner of the facility in the evacuation center and prepared a chair and a seat.

A man in his 80's who said his home was damaged by water said, “I had my hair cut and clean. I would like to thank you very much.”

Mr. Hino left Ogo-cho when he was 24 and continued to work in Tokyo. He returned to town on the 11th of this month.

Immediately after that, it was said that his hometown was hit by heavy rains, and he took scissors when he wanted to do something.

Hino-san said, “When I returned to Ogo-cho after a long time, a typhoon came and the disaster was like the sea. I was happy to see the customers happily, so I want to do what I can do in the future.” I was talking.

Mr. Hino is planning to continue volunteering for haircutting at the evacuation center in Ogo-cho until 1st of next month.
