In Obuse-cho, Nagano Prefecture, apples are actively cultivated on the riverbed of the Chikuma River, but the typhoon has caused damage to the apple fields.

According to the town, it has been confirmed so far that 23 hectares out of approximately 200 hectares of apple fields in the town have been inundated, and the damage amount is at least about 84 million yen.

On the other hand, the chestnut known as a local special product is that most of the town's production of about 170 tons had been harvested by the last month, but about 4 tons were damaged.

Obuse-machi Industry Promotion Section says "I want to hurry up information gathering to grasp the full extent of the damage".
