In response to requests from 7 prefectures in the Kanto and Tohoku regions, such as Nagano, Ibaraki, Miyagi, and Iwate prefectures, the Self-Defense Forces dispatched troops from various locations. We are engaged in activities such as searching for and rescuing residents left behind in flooded areas.

Of these, the Hobo district in Nagano city where the bank of the Chikuma river broke down and Marumori town in Miyagi prefecture where the Abukuma river was flooded were rescued by helicopters of the Ground Self-Defense Force and Air Self-Defense Force. It means that people have been rescued.

In addition, rescue activities using boats were promoted in various locations, and at least 25 people have been rescued so far.
