In preparation for the approach of Typhoon No. 19, local governments have set up voluntary shelters on the 11th in Tokyo.

Of these, Ota Ward has opened 27 locations, including ward facilities, after 1 pm for residents who evacuate voluntarily.

One of them, Omori Higashi Junior High School, opened a second-floor meeting room and judo hall for the elderly and residents who need nursing care, and the city officials were preparing carpets and blankets.

In the future, when the typhoon approaches and the information about evacuation comes out, more than 90 designated shelters will be opened sequentially.

The Ota ward staff who prepared the voluntary shelter said, “We prepared from today so that elderly people and people with disabilities can evacuate while the outside is bright. Thank you. ”

In addition, Arakawa Ward, Minato Ward, Chiyoda Ward, Adachi Ward, and Tachikawa City have also opened their own evacuation centers on the 11th.
