In response to the damage caused by agriculture caused by Typhoon No.15 last month, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has compiled support measures that include subsidies for rebuilding agricultural houses.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the amount of damage related to agriculture, forestry and fisheries caused by Typhoon No. 15 last month totaled 44.6 billion yen in 12 prefectures including Chiba Prefecture as of the 30th.

The breakdown shows that the damage of agricultural houses that damaged more than 16,000 buildings was 24.5 billion yen, and the damage of agricultural products such as rice and pear was 10.9 billion yen.

In response, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries compiled support measures for damaged farmers on the 1st.

Support measures include the cost of rebuilding farmhouses and repairing agricultural machinery, treating dairy cows that have become sick due to power outages, and subsidizing the costs of purchasing new livestock. .

At the press conference after the cabinet meeting on the 1st, Mr. Eto, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said, “We will make efforts to make the support measures known so that we can resume farming as soon as possible.”
