Violence and terror. That is often the overarching theme of the films that appear in the cinema this week. In The Kitchen , three Irish Mafia wives take matters into their own hands when their husbands end up in jail, and in Piranhas , six 15-year-old boys try to get a foot in the door at the Italian Mafia. It is 1978 in New York. Part of the city, better known as Hell's Kitchen, is dominated by the Irish Mafia. Shooting and violence are the order of the day. When three Mafia members are arrested, their women take matters into their own hands. They decide to run the criminal cases themselves and to get rid of their competition.

Domino thriller

The Patrick drama

The Swallows of Kabul - animation

Young Mohsen and Zunaira form a couple in love in the city of Kabul, destroyed by the Taliban. Despite everything, they believe in a better future. Elsewhere in the city, the Atiq and Mussarat couple have lost hope. Atiq is a prison officer who is becoming increasingly skeptical about the regime. Mussarat is incurably ill. By coincidence, the paths of the two couples cross each other when Zunaira ends up in prison and Attiq, at the risk of her own life, decides to help her.
