Support for water-disrupted areas Nagareyama City, Chiba, etc. dispatches water trucks September 11 14:04

In local governments in northwestern Chiba, where damage from typhoons was relatively small, there is a growing movement to dispatch water trucks to support areas where water outages continue.

Among them, the Waterworks Bureau in Nagareyama City, Chiba Prefecture, dispatched water trucks to Tako-cho in the northeastern part of the prefecture where water was still shut down.

The water truck could supply about 2 tons of water, and another wagon car loaded with more than 200 500ml plastic bottles with drinking water.

The staff of the Waterworks Bureau plans to supply water under the direction of the local staff after heading to the Takomachi government office.

Deputy Director Tetsuo Yabuchi of the Nagareyama City Waterworks and Sewerage Bureau said, “Water is a matter of life, so we want to support ourselves with a strong attitude.”
