Response to Typhoon DMAT 62 team is active in Chiba Prefecture September 10 16:30

In Chiba Prefecture, where the influence of Typhoon No. 15 continues, the disaster dispatch medical team “DMAT” gathers from the prefecture, Tokyo, and Ibaraki Prefecture to conduct medical activities.

“DMAT” is a medical team composed of doctors and nurses, and is dispatched upon request from local governments in the event of a major disaster or accident.

In Chiba Prefecture, following the damage of Typhoon No. 15, the DMAT Coordination Headquarters was established in the prefectural office, and activity bases were established in the four disaster base hospitals in the prefecture.

On the 10th, 62 teams in the prefecture, Tokyo, and DMAT dispatched from Ibaraki Prefecture will check the status of hospitals where power outages continue and transport patients from such hospitals.
