Governor Morita, Chiba “Emergency recovery from power outages, TEPCO strongly requested” September 10, 12:07

For Typhoon No. 15 that brought storms to Chiba Prefecture until the 9th, Governor Morita instructed TEPCO to request TEPCO for early restoration of power outages at the disaster response headquarters meeting.

One night after the passing of Typhoon No. 15, the Chiba Prefectural Office held a disaster response headquarters meeting on the morning of the 10th with Governor Morita and other executives in attendance.

First, each department manager in the prefecture reported that about 89,000 households were still out of service due to the power outage on the night of the 9th.

In particular, it was made clear that it was difficult to respond to water outages only in Chiba Prefecture, and requested the dispatch of the Self-Defense Force at 4 am on the 10th.

In response to this, a trailer for water supply from the 1st Air Self Defense Force in Funabashi City was dispatched to 4 cities and 2 towns in the prefecture, and 8 patients who were hospitalized in a hospital with a power outage were helicoptered. It was reported that it was scheduled to be transported to medical institutions in the northwestern part of the prefecture.

Governor Morita said, “This typhoon hits Chiba Prefecture directly and it is in a serious situation. The power outage continues at over 570,000 units, and I would like TEPCO to urgently request an early recovery.” I ordered.

In addition, we confirmed that all measures were taken to resolve the insecurity of the citizens of the prefecture, and that we continued to make every effort to understand the damage situation related to infrastructure and agricultural and marine products, and to respond to recovery.
