Izu Express, which connects Ito City and Shimoda City in Shizuoka Prefecture, has been suspending operations from the first train because it has blocked landslides and fallen trees in over 20 locations along the line.
In Shimoda City, a large tree fell from the mountain side and blocked the track.
Izu Kyuko is proceeding with the restoration work, but for now, the Med is not standing.
