Typhoon No. 10 Kanto Koshin May be very rainy locally on August 16 21:58 on August 15
Due to the warm and humid air flowing toward Typhoon # 10, Kanto Koshin may experience extremely heavy rain locally on the 16th, resulting in heavy rain. The Japan Meteorological Agency has called for being alert to landslides, low land inundation, river flooding, and high waves.
According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, rain clouds are developing locally in Kanto Koshin because warm and humid air flows toward the large typhoon No. 10 in the Sea of Japan.
One hour until 8:00 pm, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism observed a very heavy rain of 61 mm with a rain gauge installed in Kiyokawa Village, Kanagawa Prefecture. There are places along the mountains in Kanagawa where the amount of rain from the beginning of rainfall has exceeded 200 mm.
In the Kanto Koshin region, there is a risk of heavy rain with a heavy rain of 50 mm or more per hour with local lightning until dawn on the 16th.
The amount of rain in the 24-hour period until the evening of the 16th is expected to be 250 mm, mainly in the Kanto region and Koshin.
The windy condition continues, and the maximum wind speed over the 16th is expected to be 18 meters at the sea and the Izu Islands in the southern Kanto region, 15 meters at Koshin, and the maximum instantaneous wind speed is expected to reach 30 meters.
A wave of 6 meters in the Izu Islands and 5 meters in the southern Kanto region are expected over the 16th.
