On the Alaskan Peninsula near Perryville, a large 8.2 magnitude earthquake struck Finnish time on Thursday morning.

The U.S. Tsunami Warning Center issued a warning to the Pacific in Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), the magnitude of the earthquake was 8.2 magnitude.

According to the USGS, the earthquake was at a depth of 35 kilometers.
