In the United States, the trial of ex-police officer Derek Chauvin, who is suspected of killing George Floyd, continues in Minneapolis.

  • The live broadcast of the trial can be watched from the video above starting at 5 p.m.

On Monday, the sixth session of the trial, Minneapolis Police Chief Medaria Arradondo is expected to be in the witness box.

Prosecutors say Arradondo is expected to testify that Derek Chauvin acted contrary to the training he received.

The main argument of Chauvin’s defense has been to emphasize that Chauvin followed the lessons he learned in police training.

- This (Floyd's death) is a murder - this was not about a lack of (police) training, Arradondo said in a video statement released last year.

In 2017, Arradondo became the first black police chief in Minneapolis.

He fired Chauvin and three other police officers involved in the case after Floyd's death.
