The copyright organizations Kopiosto and Teosto have agreed with the operators represented by FiCom on the distribution of foreign TV channels on cable and IPTV networks.
According to Kopiosto, the result of the negotiations guarantees that foreign TV channels will continue to be shown.
The parties now agree to update the previous distribution license agreement, which was signed in June last year.
With the agreement, the distribution of foreign TV channels that have been widely watched in Finland on cable and IPTV networks will continue uninterrupted.
According to Kopiosto, the agreement means that services that are important to consumers will be provided responsibly, respecting copyright.
