Sweden's Frida Karlsson interrupts cross-country skiing Tour de Skin.
The issue is reported by the Swedish media, including Aftonbladet and Expressen.
The Tour de Ski culminates in a weekend in Val di Fiemme, Italy.
Sprints will be competed on Saturday and the famous Alpe Cermis final climb is on Sunday.
According to Aftonbladet, Karlsson made the decision to suspend the Saturday morning exercises.
- He cannot do justice to himself, comments Anders Byström, the head of the Swedish national team.
Karlsson, 21, injured himself earlier on the Tour in Toblach.
He was reported to have pulled his jaws from the door frame of his hotel room.
The frame came down, and Karlsson dropped to his butt.
In his Instagram stories, Karlsson published a picture showing a middle finger on a downed door frame.

However, after the unfortunate accident, he had received a green light from the medical team to continue the Tour.
According to Expressen, he had competed with painkillers.
However, the pain was too severe and Karlsson did not want to take risks before the World Cup, Expressen writes.
- It is wisest to suspend, team leader Byström commented.
Karlsson was third in the Tour's overall situation.
Leaded by Jessica Diggins of the United States.
Krista Pärmäkoski from Finland is fifth.
