Jari-Matti Latvala and Sebastien Ogier drove the World Rally Championship as teammates at Volkswagen 2013–2016.
Now Latvala has become Ogier’s supervisor when he was appointed head of the Toyota Rally Stable this week.

Ogier, who won as many as seven world championships in his career, immediately praised his new boss.
"No one has a greater passion for rallying and no one knows the history of the sport more than Jari-Matti," said Ogier at the International Automobile Federation's FIA awards gala, according to the dirtfish site.
Ogier won the world championship every year when he was a teammate of Latvala.
World Championship points in their years at Volkswagen went in favor of Ogier 1,088-675.

The 37-year-old French driver believes that the cooperation will go smoothly in new roles with a 35-year-old Finn.

We’ve always had a good relationship, so I’m looking forward to the next season, Ogier said.

Toyota's other drivers for the 2021 season are Elfyn Evans, Kalle Rovanperä and Takamoto Katsuta.
The new season begins in late January, when the Monte Carlo race is on the calendar.
