A sixteen-year-old meal delivery boy was beaten and stabbed in Zaandam on Friday evening.
This happened a few hours after the municipality of Zaanstad, which includes the city, issued a ban on knives and other dangerous objects.
The stabbing took place after the delivery man was robbed of his food.
This happened shortly after he parked his moped at an apartment building on Indigostraat, where he had to deliver a meal.
Witnesses pointed in the direction of three boys who had run away.
The meal deliverer went after it to get redress.
There was then an argument in which the victim was beaten and also received a stab wound.
Alarmed officers were able to arrest the suspects on the spot.
It concerns two boys (sixteen and seventeen years) from Zaandam and a fifteen-year-old boy from Westzaan.
The police report that no weapon was found during an initial investigation.
Violation of the prohibition will result in a fine of 2,500 euros
