Rammingen (dpa / tmn) - There is a new attraction for holidaymakers in the Allgäu - because, according to the operator, the highest chain carousel in the world is now turning there.
With a height of almost 150 meters, the “Allgäuflieger” in the Skyline Park in Rammingen towers over the highest carousel to date by around 12 meters, as the park announced.
The previous world record was held by the 137-meter-high “Starflyer” in Orlando in the US state of Florida.
During the three to four minute journey, passengers are brought to a height of 100 meters.
According to the manufacturer from Austria, that's about 10 meters more than the carousel in Florida, which was built by the same company and put into operation in June 2018.
According to the amusement park, the construction of the 400-ton carousel took more than five months.
