Lübeck (dpa) - The district court of Lübeck sentenced a 43-year-old man to twelve years in prison for kidnapping and raping a student. The court found the Turks guilty of attempted murder, rape and deprivation of liberty.
According to the court, the man had dragged and raped the medical student into his van after a party in October 2019. He then left her bound and gagged on a lonely dirt road near Mönkhagen in the Stormarn district, which was considered an attempted murder.
The defender announced revision. In her view, the fact that her client raped his victim was not sufficiently proven, she said. This allegation is based solely on the young woman's testimony, which does not necessarily have to be based on concrete experience. The victim testified that she had only a fragmentary memory of the rape.
