The number of coronary infections in the world is growing faster than ever, according to CNN. Over the past seven days, the average number of new covid-19 infections has been more than 100,000 daily. On Wednesday, 130,400 cases were registered worldwide.
CNN’s analysis is based on data from Johns Hopkins University. According to CNN, the increase may be partly explained by the increase in testing, but there are still many countries where testing is not enough to get an accurate picture.
Although the spread of the virus appears to have slowed in many European countries, for example, it has accelerated, especially in South America, the Middle East and Africa.
According to Johns Hopkins, there are now a total of nearly 6,760,000 infections.
