50 new cases of coronavirus have been diagnosed in Finland since yesterday, says the National Institute for Health and Welfare THL. A total of 6,826 cases have been confirmed in Finland, compared to 6,776 yesterday.

THL has received two new deaths. 316 people have now died of the coronavirus disease in Finland.

Thus, there are 123 confirmed infections per one hundred thousand Finns. The majority of confirmed infections, ie 4,971, have been detected in Uusimaa.

Also in relation to the population, the incidence of coronavirus is highest in Uusimaa, but the second is clearly ahead of the rest of the country in western Sweden, where cases have been confirmed 147.

In Uusimaa, the incidence of coronavirus is about 295 cases and in Länsipohja 244 cases per one hundred thousand inhabitants. Elsewhere in Finland, there are 17–91 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
