South Korea is limiting the number of children going to school and day care in and around the country’s capital, Seoul, due to the coronavirus. Every day, only a third of children go to school, while others study remotely.

In South Korea, the highest number of new infections was reported in nearly two months on Thursday, a total of 79. By Friday, the number of new infections had dropped to 58.

Museums, parks and art galleries that had already opened once were reopened in Seoul on Friday for two weeks due to infections.

At the start of the coronavirus pandemic, South Korea’s infection rates were among the darkest in the world after China. However, the country quickly got the virus in its grip through effective testing and tracing of the affected. However, new infections have made authorities fear the second wave of the epidemic.
