The lease starts today and runs until the end of May.
"By expanding our support options for our tenants during this exceptional time, we want to make sure that Parliament's decision to close the restaurant business does not endanger our tenants' business continuity," Sponda said in a news release.
Of the other major real estate investors, the pension company Ilmarinen announced on Monday that it would release the restaurants from April to May. For its part, Varma said yesterday that it does not intend to charge rents to restaurants and cafés in May and June.
Sponda says in its announcement last week that it has been offering rentals for renters who need it most.
