Prague (dpa / tmn) - Karlstein Castle near Prague will be extensively restored over the next two years. The rush of tourists in recent years has caused damage to the substance. Particular attention is paid to the reconstruction of the five-story imperial palace and the burgrave house. A modern visitor center and exhibition rooms will be created. The cultural monument remains open during the works, but restrictions must be expected. The Roman-German emperor and Bohemian king Charles IV (1316-1378) had the Höhenburg built as a place to keep his imperial treasure.

Netherlands: Indoor Lego Park opens in The Hague

Scheveningen (dpa / tmn) - The first Legoland Discovery Center in the Netherlands opens in May on the seafront in the Hague district of Scheveningen. A total of three million built-in Lego bricks are intended to provide fun in various themed worlds. The park is aimed primarily at families with children aged three to ten years, said the Dutch Office for Tourism and Convention. One of the highlights is said to be a miniature country with recreated Den Haager sights.

Condor will fly from Düsseldorf to Cancún next winter

Düsseldorf (dpa / tmn) - The holiday airline Condor will start long-haul flights from Düsseldorf to Mexico in the coming winter. As of November 3, 2020, the airline will report to the tourist center of Cancun on the Yucatán Peninsula on Tuesdays and Saturdays. New long-haul flights will also be added in Munich: from there it will also go to Varadero in Cuba. Seattle in the USA is also served all year round from Munich.
