Moscow (dpa) - After the initially unsuccessful negotiations on a permanent ceasefire in the civil war-torn country of Libya, Russia is pressing for further mediation talks. "Everyone should pull together and encourage all Libyan parties to do so," Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in Sri Lanka. Shortly before, the talks held in Moscow with the parties to the conflict had ended without result. According to Lavrov, Russia and Turkey want to continue their efforts. It remains unclear whether a Libya conference planned for January will take place in Berlin.
