Berlin (dpa) - In the dispute over the processing of the consultant affair, the Ministry of Defense has confirmed that the data of a mobile phone was deleted by ex-Minister Ursula von der Leyen. The reason for this was a "security incident," said a spokesman for the Ministry of Defense. In January, a large-scale data theft had startled politicians across Germany. Hundreds of public figures had published personal data on the Internet on a Twitter account, including the then Minister of Defense.
