The missing 26-year-old wife and her fourteen-month-old son from Ede were found in Düsseldorf, Germany, police report Saturday. Due to the urgent missing of the pair, an AMBER Alert was sent on Friday. The mother has been arrested.
A police spokesperson said the pair was found in the night from Friday to Saturday.
The two had left Friday at 10:00 am with an unknown destination from Ede. They were last seen that same morning in Utrecht.
In the evening it was decided to send an AMBER Alert. An AMBER Alert is only sent if there is a fear of the life of a missing or abducted child. It is distributed through various digital channels and can also be seen on billboards.
After sending the AMBER Alert, the police received dozens of tips. During the night the police were told that mother and son were staying in a hotel in Düsseldorf.
