Bucharest (AFP) The Romanian President Klaus Iohannis has apparently been confirmed by a large majority in office. The 60-year-old was, according to after-election polls on Sunday with up to 66.5 percent of the votes as the winner of the runoff election against former Social Democratic head of government Viorica Dancila out. Iohannis, who belongs to the German minority in Romania, had already won the first round of elections two weeks ago with almost 38 percent.
