Frankfurt Stock Exchange: Dax opens weakly

TIME ONLINE | News, backgrounds and debates

Frankfurt / Main (AP) - The Dax has started slightly in minus. In the first minutes of trading, the German leading index lost 0.21 percent to 13,261.18 points.

On Thursday he had reached its highest level since the beginning of 2018 thanks to the prospect of a long-awaited stage in the trade conflict between the US and China.

The MDax for mid-size stocks dropped 0.49 percent on Friday morning to 26,999.30 points, and the Eurozone leading index EuroStoxx 50 lost 0.23 percent to 3698.22.

However, thanks to the recent increase, the Dax is heading for a weekly gain of around 2.3 percent and the fifth consecutive earnings week.

Since the interim low at the beginning of October, a recovery of almost twelve percent has been recorded and in the year to date a rich increase of almost 26 percent. According to market experts, some investors made a checkout first.

Wall Street, too, had not been able to make any further gains after the close of trading in Frankfurt the evening before, and the losses on the Asian stock exchanges last prevailed.
