Tokyo (AP) - The number of fatalities following the typhoon in Japan has continued to increase. As the Japanese TV station NHK reported, the number of deaths rose to at least 23. There were 16 people still missing. Due to the hurricane that hit Tokyo and other parts of the country, more than 160 residents were injured in large parts of the island kingdom. The typhoon, which has now weakened to a low pressure zone in the northeast over the sea, had overflowed rivers with record rainfall and caused severe flooding.
